Everything has changed since my last post. Impulse #2 is still happening, but at this rate it looks like it wont come out until after MD 2021. I'm currently involved in 4 collabs and at least 2 of them are coming out on madness day. Between that, catching up with my HL2 mod team, and a game I've been working on (or at least I should be working on it), I seem to have already taken on too much. A lot of love and care has gone into Impulse 2 (as apposed to the last one which I made in 4 days while drunk) and I really don't want the project to suffer just because I rushed it to completion. There's still a possibility that I'll find time and make it work, but I wouldn't count on it.
Speaking of projects that suffered due to rushed development, I made this thing for JollyBag's birthday! I had a plan and a script and a direction I wanted to take it in, but the vast majority of the original plan was tossed aside in order to just get the thing out. It's not bad considering it was made in 2 days, but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed in myself for not seeing my original vision through.
But more importantly, it was so rushed that proper credit wasn't even given! Firstly, I want to thank StalinsFavSkeleton for creating sprites that I just wouldn't have had the time to finish myself. Then there was Stright who ended up animating half of the thing in a day just to make sure it was done on time! Finally, ThePiratePyro tied it all up with incredible sound work! With less than two hours to get it all done, he found royalty free music, added sound effects, and even surprised me with some incredible voice acting!
This project would not have been possible without all of their hard work! Give them all a follow if you haven't already!
Aside from that, I tried my hand at a madness duel, made a few friends in the community, and I've got a few sprite sheets I'll be releasing shortly. I tried my hand at re-creating Krinkels' original madness sprites (Madness 1-5 as well as Madness Interactive). I was feeling nostalgic when I created the sheet but I don't really have a lot of use for them, so once I finish all of the weapons I'll just hand them out to whoever wants them!
But that's about it for now! If I'm being honest, I'm sort of excited to get everything finished and out there. I'm tired!
