My animation has been out for over a month at this point! The reviews are in, the dust has settled, and things are pretty mixed!

Thank you. All of you! Each and every one of you who took the time to review or rate it or even just give it a watch! Positive or negative, I appreciate all of the feedback and every rating! If you are one of the people who scored it low, I hope you still found something worthwhile in there! I'd hate for anyone to feel like they've wasted their time.

There are a few collaborative projects I've been working on. Some of them are secretive. Others are doomed. Working with other people has proven to be a bit of a challenge since I rejoined the community. My overall skill is lacking and I'm inconsistent when it comes to deadlines. That, and I tend to get mixed up with drama. It gets tiring, but I suppose I started a lot of it.

So, what's next? I think I want to focus on the only thing I'm really known for right now. Not the recent scandal. The other thing. The Impulse series.

I've been in a rut since I joined the community back in around 2008/2009. I've been in and out of collabs and I've worked on projects here and there, but I've never managed to actually get anything done. Nothing was ever good enough or unique enough.

And then one day I decided to give up and just toss something together for the sake of finishing it. I'd leave the little flaws for later instead of fixating on them. I'd finish a scene and just move on to the next instead of constantly re-animating the same one over and over until I was happy with it. I'd stop setting goals that I wasn't good enough to achieve, and instead I'd strive to subvert expectations as much as possible with a half-baked plot.

It was an impulse decision that resulted in my first newgrounds release since 2011! It also won the Underdog of the Week award for the week of May 19th! I don't think I've received all too many mediocre reviews actually. Everyone was either incredibly impressed or incredibly disappointed. It was perfect!

It's an obvious rush-job that I worked on after my 8 hour shifts every day for 4 days. Yet still, it's the most proud I've ever been of any of my animations! It's out there. Some of my favorite animators have been reviewing and favoriting it, while a lot of my friends and family hate it and think I need therapy. I've read every comment and review and taken in all of the feedback. It's time for phase 2.

A far more experimental, cinematic animation with a new plot and cast of characters.

Madness Impulse #2: Hotdog Horror.
